This has come to the notice of the University authorities that some unscrupulous elements are approaching IGNOU students through various means, pretending to be university officials. These fraudsters are asking the students to pay fees for registration / re-registration / examination etc through fraudulent links. In this regard, as directed by the Competent Authority, a Public notice is being issued on behalf of SRD cautioning the students about such malicious and fraudulent activities.
In this connection the Director, Computer division is requested to kindly upload the "Public Notice" prominently on the IGNOU website, so that the students can be aware and more vigilant about such matters.
All the Regional Centers are requested to prominently display this "Public Notice" on their respective RC websites and take necessary steps to make the larners aware and be cautious about such emails / messages / phone calls etc.
