Internship for BLIS and MLIS Programmes

Dear Sir/Madam,
This is to inform you that AICTE has requested all technical institutions to provide internship opportunities to the Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS)/ Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) students of IGNOU in the AICTE approved Institutions, with or without stipend. In response to the AICTE letter many leading institutions like IIT Delhi, IIM Kozhikode, Xavier's Institute of Social Science Ranchi, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Tiruchirappalli have shown willingness to provide internship to IGNOU students in their Central Libraries as per the communication received from the IGNOU HQ.
Under the ambit of National Education Policy (NEP 2020), Ministry of Education, Govt. of India encouraging internship in a big way and recently AICTE has also launched one crore internship in different areas.
We request your institution may extend such internship opportunities in the Library information centres for the students pursuing Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS)/ Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) in IGNOU, with or without stipend.
