Dr G. Anbalagan

Assistant Regional Director

Dr. G. Anbalagan is working as Assistant Regional Director in the IGNOU Regional Centre, Madurai. He joined in the IGNOU services during May 2012. Prior to joining IGNOU RC Madurai, he worked at IGNOU Regional Centre, Visakhapatnam.

He did his M.Sc and M.Phil in Environmental Science at P.S.G. College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore (1995-1997) and submitted thesis for Ph.D. in Bharathiar University, he has completed PG Diploma in Distance Education (December 2013) and M.A. in Distance Education (June 2016) at IGNOU.

He has presented more than 30 papers in State / National / International level Seminars / Conferences and some articles in reputed journals including international journals. He has authored seven Book Chapters on Environmental Education, Women Empowerment and Open and Distance Education. He actively participated in various workshops and training programmes organized by the Anna Institute of Management, Chennai, IIPM, Bangalore and STRIDE, IGNOU HQ, New Delhi. Further he has completed five MOOCs from reputed organizations including COL.

He is life member of All India Association for Educational Research - AIAER, Bhubaneswar, Member in the International Academy of Ecology and Environmental Sciences and honorary member of Council of Research & Sustainable Development (CRSD).

He is editorial Board member in the Research Magma & IRJI and reviewer in TODJE and Journal of Scientifics R&D.
